Rustic Restoration, Parkersburg, WV's first DIY Home Decor Studio!

We offer unique DIY wood home decor workshops, as well as our own retail section. Whether you are celebrating a special event, birthday, bridal shower, girls night out, date night, team building, our DIY workshops are sure to provide a fun hands-on experience!

HOW IT CAME TO BE

Hi! I'm the owner of Rustic Restoration, Lexy Edwards. Alongside of my husband, family, and our littlest helpers (our daughter and son), we have built our small business. We started our business in 2014 refinishing, repurposing, and restoring furniture. Which then led to our online business, creating personalized and custom farmhouse, rustic inspired wood home decor. At the end of 2016, we emptied my parents living room and hosted our very first DIY pallet sign class! By 2018, we were in our first DIY workshop, making so many amazing memories and meeting the best customers. May 3rd, 2019…our workshop was lost to a fire. Devastating. After much needed healing, I’m so excited to announce our new workshop is expected to open March 2021!

WHAT TO EXPECT

At our workshops, you will be sanding, distressing, painting, personalizing, and using power tools, such as drills, sanders, and nail guns, to create your own home decor piece that you'll be proud of! Our instructions will walk you through step by step woodworking, painting, and distressing techniques to achieve the perfectly, imperfect farmhouse inspired look!
